Service Policy

This policy explains the scope of the managed EmDash website service. It forms part of the Terms of Service. It is a service description, not an uptime or support service-level agreement.

What we manage

DashHarbor manages the hosting platform and technical infrastructure around your EmDash website. The service includes managed hosting on Cloudflare, site provisioning and deployment, HTTPS configuration, setup checks and protected editor access. The dashboard lets you see your website, open the editor and manage available website actions.

You choose an available design and provide the basic site details. Provisioning prepares the website and its customer-specific infrastructure. Setup or provider failures may require retries; completion is not guaranteed to be immediate. EmDash remains your editing and content-management layer.

What you manage

You manage your website's content and business activity, including pages, images, navigation and available site settings. You are responsible for accuracy, publication rights, lawful activity and any privacy notices or consents your website needs. The Acceptable Use Policy applies.

Keep your account and email access secure, review what you publish, and keep independent copies of important source content. DashHarbor is not a bespoke design agency or a substitute for operating your business. Design switching and a complete automated website-export facility are not promised by this policy.

Website addresses and HTTPS

Customer websites currently use DashHarbor-controlled hostnames. Custom-domain connection and the associated domain setup and DNS workflow are being completed for launch. Where you own a domain, connecting it does not transfer ownership to DashHarbor.

HTTPS and certificate configuration are part of the managed technical service. They depend on correct routing, configuration and infrastructure-provider processes. We do not guarantee perfect or uninterrupted certificate issuance or renewal in every circumstance.

Maintenance and launch features

DashHarbor operates the underlying platform and may make maintenance, compatibility or security changes needed to keep delivering the service. A managed platform-update programme for customer websites is still being completed for launch; this policy does not promise a fixed update schedule or immediate support for every upstream release.

We aim to explain material service changes and planned interruptions where practical. Urgent security work or provider incidents may happen without advance notice. Planned features should not be treated as available until their delivery is confirmed.

Backups and recovery

Backup and recovery arrangements are being completed for launch. This policy does not establish a backup frequency, retention period, recovery point or restore deadline, and does not promise that a particular copy is available today.

Backups and recovery measures, where provided, are intended to help operate and recover the service and are not permanent archival storage. Their exact arrangements may be described separately as the service is completed. Keep independent copies of material you cannot afford to lose, particularly before authorising website deletion.

Support and availability

Support is provided electronically or by email as described by the service. No round-the-clock coverage, emergency response, guaranteed response time or formal support SLA is promised. Use the support contact supplied with your service or existing service correspondence.

We aim to provide a reliable service with reasonable care and skill, but availability can be affected by maintenance, deployment, network problems and infrastructure incidents. There is no guaranteed uptime percentage, service-credit scheme or recovery-time commitment in this policy. Mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.

Billing and reasonable limits

The price is $19 USD per managed website per month, with each website billed separately. We do not describe the service as unlimited resources or offer conventional infrastructure tiers. Technical protections or restrictions may be needed to keep the service safe and reliable.

Current billing enforcement concerns eligibility for new website creation. Existing public websites are not automatically deleted or immediately taken offline merely because a billing problem arises. The Terms reserve proportionate rights for prolonged non-payment, serious abuse or security issues.

Website deletion

Self-service deletion permanently removes the website and associated customer-specific infrastructure and content as the durable deletion workflow completes. It may take time or require a retry after a provider failure. Do not authorise deletion expecting guaranteed restoration or an automatic export.

Limited operational records, including site tombstones, provisioning and request history, resource identity and deletion or audit history, remain. Other necessary security, billing or legal records may also be retained under the Privacy Policy and applicable DPA. Website deletion does not automatically cancel the subscription; manage that separately through Billing and FastSpring.
